HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

This course includes: Asthma, Anaphylaxis and CPR

Blended delivery: Pre-course study of 7.0 hours including reading materials and assessment theory workbook. Class session: 6.5 hours includes practical assessment.

Course cost: $125.00.

We deliver at 169 Salisbury Highway, Salisbury.

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults.

The unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.

This unit of competency will contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulation (2011).

Child Care Services Training is seeking motivated and committed people from Adelaide’s northern suburbs to take part in the Stepping Stone (SA) Childcare & Early Development Centres Pre-employment program. The program includes supervised work experience placements and industry-led workshops to increase participants’ job-readiness. If you’re able to commit to a 37-week training program starting in March 2022, can provide evidence of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (TGA-approved vaccine) and are eligible to obtain a Working with Children Check, register now to attend the information and selection session held on 1 March 2022.
